Crisis states are part of the human experience. The mind can do this funny thing when we are in crisis, we can forget all of our coping strategies and supports. For this reason, I’m a proponent of every woman having a “Safety & Soothing Plan” at the ready.

Consider creating your “Safety & Soothing Plan” with your mental health provider or with a trusted Wise Woman when you are not in a crisis. Revise it as many times as you need.
